Stainless Steel Coil Tube — Coiltube (Product No. 693)
Manufacturer: Wenzhou Jixing Metal Materials Co., Ltd.
Product Category: Stainless Steel Coil Tube / Coil Pipe
Product Overview
The Stainless Steel Coil Tube (Coiltube) is a continuous-length seamless or welded stainless steel tube wound into a compact coil configuration for efficient storage, transportation, and downstream processing. This product is designed to deliver high dimensional accuracy, superior surface finish, and excellent mechanical properties suitable for a wide range of industrial applications including fluid conveyance, structural engineering, automotive systems, and specialized manufacturing.
A notable innovation associated with this product line is the development of a Novel Coil Tube Installer (新型盘管安装器), inspired by the kinematic principles of the excavator front fork (挖掘机前叉). This proprietary installation device enables rapid, precise, and ergonomic deployment of coil tubes in field conditions, significantly reducing labor intensity and installation time while maintaining alignment tolerances.

Manufacturing Process
Seamless Coil Tube Process
- Hot Rolling / Hot Extrusion: Billet or round bar is heated to 1200–1300 °C and pierced to form a hollow tube blank.
- Cold Drawing: The hot tube blank is drawn through a series of progressively reducing dies to achieve precise dimensional tolerances and improved mechanical properties.
- Solution Annealing: Tubes are heated to 1050–1100 °C and rapidly cooled (water quench or air cool) to dissolve carbides and restore full austenitic structure.
- Pickling & Passivation: Acid pickling removes surface oxide scale; subsequent passivation treatment forms a protective chromium oxide film for enhanced corrosion resistance.
- Surface Finishing: Mechanical polishing, electropolishing, or chemical polishing to achieve specified surface roughness.
- Coiling: Continuous-length tube is wound onto a coil spool at controlled tension to prevent deformation and maintain dimensional accuracy.
- Quality Inspection: Non-destructive testing (NDT) including eddy current testing, ultrasonic testing (UT), and hydrostatic pressure testing.
Welded Coil Tube Process
- Strip Preparation: Cold-rolled stainless steel strip is slit to precise width and edge-prepared.
- Forming: Strip is formed into a circular profile using progressive roll forming stations.
- Welding: Longitudinal seam is welded via ERW (Electric Resistance Welding) or TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding under controlled parameters.
- Weld Annealing: Heat treatment to relieve weld residual stresses and homogenize microstructure.
- Pickling & Passivation: Same as seamless process.
- Coiling & Inspection: Wound to coil and subjected to full NDT and dimensional verification.
